There were plenty of tries scored in Round 7's Betfred League One, as Keighley Cougars and Oldham continue to lead the way as the top two.
Rochdale Hornets did come close against the Cougars however, as a real contest unfolded at Crown Oil Arena on Sunday.
It was pulsating 80 minutes as Keighley edged out Rochdale in a thriller. The visitors would open the scores through Billy Walkley and Junior Sa'u - Sa'u going over for a hat-trick on his 300th career appearance in the sport.
Both sides produced a wonderful attacking display as the match went on - the Hornets with a late resurgence from 18-36 down to bring themselves within just one try.
After a tense final ten minutes where the Hornets would push the ball around, Dan Parker came up with an interception and ran 50 metres before giving the ball to Adam Ryder to score and seal the victory for Keighley.
Another close contest saw Hunslet and North Wales battle it out in West Yorkshire. It was an extremely tight affair with the Crusaders originally racking up a 10-0 lead with tries from Kieran Taylor and Thomas Whitehead inside the first 20 minutes.
The hosts soon hit back through Matty Beharrell and Harvey Hallas to bring the scores to 12-14, as the momentum continued to switch.
Two late tries through Mackenzie Scurr and then Jack Render on the hooter would clinch the win, as Hunslet gained revenge for last season’s play-off defeat against the Crusaders and jumped above their opponents into fourth place in the Betfred League One table.
Meanwhile, a still unbeaten Oldham side would prove too strong for Midlands Hurricanes, as would Workington against Cornwall - although it was a valiant effort from the losing teams.
